Robert R. Hogan
Robert (Bob) Hogan is the President, Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Capitol Wealth, a subsidiary of Capitol Bancorp Limited.
Bob has more than 24 years of financial services experience, including investment banking, brokerage, private client services and asset management. His background spans a wide range of industry realms, including operations, technology, internal control, risk management, regulatory, compliance and finance.
Most recently, Bob spent 9 years with Bank of America where he served as the Managing Director and Chief Operations Officer for Banc of America Securities, LLC. Prior to joining Bank of America, Bob was an executive with Salomon Brothers from 1991-1996 and Price Waterhouse during the years 1982-1991.
While at Price Waterhouse, Bob was selected for a two-year, International assignment with the Firm in their Brussels, Belgium office.
Bob has a BS in Accounting and a minor in Public Relations from the State
University of New York at Geneseo. Bob is a Certified Public Accountant,
NASD Series 7 and 27 registered, and Six Sigma certified.
David M. Paventi
David Paventi is the Chief Operating Officer of Capitol Wealth, Inc and acts as the Secretary and Treasurer for the company's Board of Directors. David joined Capitol Wealth in April 2005 after spending eight years with Bank of America in Charlotte, NC.
In his last role at Bank of America, David supported the Project Management and Business Management functions for the Bank's Credit Portfolio Analysis team. David spent five years in Global Securities Operations supporting Banc of America Securities Fixed Income and Equity trading desks and Bank of America's Corporate Treasury division. In those five years, David worked in a number of capacities including Operational Risk Management, Financial Reporting, Strategic Planning, and Project Management. His team also provided Human Resources and Recruiting support to the 600 person organization. Prior to that, he spent two years in Internal Audit reviewing Bank of America's Mortgage Company, Corporate Treasury, and Global Finance teams.
David holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He earned his BS in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Internal Audit from The State University of New York at Buffalo.
J. Adam Bear
Adam Bear is the Director of Product and Business Development for Capitol Wealth. In addition, he serves as the National Sales Manager for Capitol Wealth Advisors. He has 25 years in the banking and securities industry. His experience and background encompasses both commercial deposit product management and securities sales management. He has managed large distributed institutional sales teams with responsibilities that included merging and assimilating acquired sales organizations. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and holds FINRA Series 7, 9/10, 24, 53, and 63 securities registrations.
Leonard D. Davenport, CFA
Len is the Strategic Acquisitions Director for Capitol Wealth.
Len provides more than 20 years of investment management expertise along with specialized skills in mergers and acquisitions to the team. Over the last six years, he has effectuated M&A transactions acquiring investment advisory firms.
He has managed over $10 billion in assets for a global insurance company co-heading all of the USA assets and another $300 million in the Latin America and the Caribbean region. He has also lived overseas in London on assignment. He has worked extensively in the financial services industry including, asset management, insurance and trust companies.
Len will identify, negotiate and structure the best asset management and insurance agency firms to acquire. This will serve the dual purpose of increasing non-interest income to Capitol Bancorp Limited, as well as, providing wealth advisory services to the clients of our local community banks.
Len earned his B.S. in finance from the University of Illinois specializing in investments and banking. He earned his M.B.A. in finance from DePaul University specializing in investment management.
Len was awarded his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1991. He has also completed the American Bankers Association three-year National Graduate Trust School program at Northwestern University. He is NASD Series 7 & 63 licensed.
Len, his wife Heidi and three children reside in Charleston, SC.
Scott Kling
A 35 year veteran of the banking industry, Scott Kling has served Paragon Bank and Trust as a Senior Lender, President and CEO and now is President of the Trust Company for Capitol Wealth. In the past five years, Scott has also served as program manager for the brokerage operation. He serves on an ad hoc committee for
Trust at the Michigan Bankers Association, and is involved with several charitable organizations including Resthaven Patrons, where he serves on the Board as Treasurer and head of the finance committee. He also has been a director of Paragon Bank and Trust since 1994.
Jeanine Broderick
Jeanine Broderick is the Senior Compliance and Risk Director for Capitol Wealth, Inc.
Jeanine has over 25 years experience in financial services including securities and insurance compliance, death and disability claims, customer service, personal sales, actuarial and operations.
Jeanine comes to Capitol Wealth after almost six years at Wachovia where she had oversight of the Business and Estate Planning Advisors and the annuity wholesalers. She was an integral part of the team that launched their national platform for insurance sales.
Jeanine graduated cum laude with a BS in Business Administration with an insurance concentration from California State University – Sacramento. She is an NASD Series 7, 9, 10, 24 and 63 Registered Representative. She has also earned her Fellowship in the Life Management Institute (FLMI), her Associate, Insurance Regulatory Compliance (AIRC) and her Associate, Customer Service (ACS) all from the Life Office Management Association (LOMA).
